The House Of Ugly Fish Adds A Touch Of Glass At UBC Coventry

United Business Centres (UBC) Coventry are set to enjoy a touch of glass as contemporary art studio, The House of Ugly Fish, agrees to provide a range of its bespoke fused glass artwork to adorn the walls of its business centre in Tower Court.  The artwork has already been installed in a number of UBC centres and there are plans to extend this to all centres across UBC network. The House of Ugly Fish, based in Cheshire, produces stunning fused glass artwork.  They are famed for their innovative design and 3D work.

The artwork is similar throughout the UBC centre’s but each piece has been hand made by one of their designers, therefore all are originals.  The idea was to create an impact in a unique way and to add to the existing contemporary layout and design of the UBC centres. Karen Thomas, Centre Manager at Coventry commented:  “We’re delighted with the new artwork.  They have really brightened up our offices and are a real focal point to our reception and meeting rooms.  Some of the pieces even incorporate our UBC colours purple and orange!  We have had several comments from our clients and I am now thinking about one for myself.”
“Our clients working environment is of great importance to us.  By adding this stunning artwork to all centres, we are not only creating a dramatic effect, especially the art placed in the reception areas, but are improving on the look of the centres.  The art has certainly been quite a topic of conversation and we will be placing the artwork in all centres up and down the country for all to enjoy,” added Philip Grace, Managing Director at United Business Centres.
