Regus have announced that they are going to open a new serviced office in New York. The new 40,000 sq ft office space will be located in the Paramount Building and will occupy the entire 12th floor. This new business centre will take the total number of offices that Regus run to nineteen when the fit out is completed later this year.

Regus have taken a second floor in 5 Penn Plaza in New York bringing their total in the city to 17. The new 28,000 sq ft office space has 92 offices, a board room, two conference rooms and a videoconferencing suite. Speaking on the move Donna Scott, Regional Vice President for Regus said “Our 5 Penn Plaza expansion is in direct response to the increased demand we continue to experience in New York City. It allows us to capitalise on what continues to be a very strong market.” She continued “We’re finding that in today’s economic environment businesses, regardless of size, are increasingly moving away from committing to long-term leases and instead seeking more flexible, cost-effective alternatives.”
