Office Space Harrogate: Flexible Office Space operator Forsyth Business Centres has launched a new serviced office space business centre in Harrogate under the company’s first management contract.  North Yorkshire-headquartered Forsyth has agreed a five year deal to manage 9,000 sq ft of centrally located office space overlooking the Stray and offering a brand new business opportunity for the town.

Forsyth, part of Kevin McCabe’s global property specialist, Scarborough Group International Limited, has taken over management of Southfield on Station Parade, on behalf of the Yorkshire-based property and restructuring group Moorgarth.

The management contract for the prominent building, to be renamed Forsyth @ Southfield, will see the company operating four floors of previous town centre office and residential space in their first ever deal in Harrogate.

Moorgarth is reconfiguring and refurbishing the office space at a cost of £300,000 to offer high quality business centre-style suites due to be completed in June. Almost all have spectacular views of the Stray – the historic 200 acres of open parkland that runs through the centre of town.

Tim Vaughan, Moorgarth managing director, said: “We looked at ways of bringing the building back into economic use and the serviced office market provides an exciting opportunity, particularly in an economic environment where local businesses need flexibility. The association with Forsyth enables us to draw on their management skills. This represents an organised, business centre-style operation which is a niche market in Harrogate – with very little supply.”

Management of Southfield builds on Forsyth’s continuing UK expansion which has seen the company recently open new serviced offices in Leeds, Darlington, Hemel Hempstead, Datchet and Tunbridge Wells. Moorgarth and Forsyth are looking at other similar opportunities in the Yorkshire region.
