Serviced Offices in Birmingham: Orega’s Colmore Plaza business centre, with its sweeping views across the Birmingham skyline, played host this week to the Business Centre Association’s latest regional meeting.
More than 40 people from the business centre industry were treated to an informative and entertaining programme of speakers and panellists over the course of the day. Following an introduction by BCA executive director Jennifer Brooke, Simon Jones of Avenir Marketing gave an instructional presentation on how to deal more effectively with enquiries and viewings. The Northwest is rolling out the red carpet to investors with a new ‘soft landing’ scheme offering free office space in serviced office accommodation for 12 months, across the region.
The new scheme, ‘Hello Northwest’, officially launched today, has been developed in partnership between the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), investment and development agencies for Manchester and the Liverpool City Region, MIDAS and The Mersey Partnership, and leading serviced office providers – Avanta, Bruntwood, Orega, Manchester Science Park, Liverpool Science Park and Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus. The recent 7.0 magnitude earthquake that has brought so much destruction to the Caribbean island of Haiti has moved millions of people across the globe to donate generously to the many appeals for aid sent out by charities and governments alike. Two weeks on and miraculously, survivors are still being pulled out the rubble alive – a sight which inspired Customer Service Co-Ordinator Karen Kernohan to take action.
