Easyspace Open In Chester

Evans Easyspace have opened a new business centre in Chester. Comprising of 43 offices and 23 workshop units, the new centre is just a mile and a half from the city centre and is already nearly 60% occupied. The building was officially opened on Friday by local MP Christine Russell who commented “Evans Business Centre will contribute to Chester’s economic development, creating jobs in companies which establish their business here”.

Dragon Buys A New Lair

Hamilton Bradshaw, the private equity company run by Dragons Den star James Caan, has purchased a 6,500 sq ft office building Cavendish Square, W1. The new office space will house businesses that Caan has invested in, bringing them all under one roof. Caan has previously invested in the serviced office company Avanta but sold his stake last year.

Your Space Virtual Office Now Free

Your Space are going to offer a virtual office free to customers. From spring this year the new service will be offered at four of it’s business centres; Birmingham, Liverpool, London and Manchester. Providing all of the usual virtual office benefits that include, telephone answering and forwarding, mail holding and an hour’s free meeting room use every month. Your Space hope that this new service will bear fruit when businesses decide that they need a physical office, having already established an association with a serviced office it is hoped that they will take space within their virtual office.

Regus Update Centre In Colorado

Following a refurbishment, the Alamo Corporate Center in Colorado Springs is now open again for business. All 53 offices now benefit from high speed data lines and new furniture while the building as a whole now has a newly redesigned reception area and business cafe. A new business park has started construction in South Wales and has been named Wales 1. The £60m, 17 acre development will provide more than 260,000 sq ft of offices in nine, three storey buildings all within easy reach of junction 23A of the M4 motorway, just twenty miles from Cardiff. Regus have already signed up for 15,000 sq ft of space in the first building which is due to be completed by early 2009. Also on the same site, as well as office space, will be a 100 bed hotel and a crèche.

UBC Open In Gloucester

United Business Centres, UBC have opened a new serviced office in Cirencester, Gloucester. Located within a brand new building, this is the first serviced office in Cirencester and part of UBC’s massive expansion programme which will see them open an average of four new centres a month during 2008. Offices are available from 150 sq ft up to 15,000 sq ft.

Warwick United

United Business Centres have opened a new serviced office in Warwick. The brand new air conditioned building is located on the high street in Henley and is ideally located within easy reach of the M40 and M42 motorways., Birmingham is less than 10 miles away from the centre.

Avanta Get Into The Grove

Avanta have opened a new business centre in Grove House in London. The new offices are located in Orange Street and have undergone refurbishment to bring them up to date including new meeting rooms and communal areas. Organised over five floors the air conditioned building, complete with car parking, is centrally located near Haymarket and The Strand.

Profits Up By 54% At Regus

Regus have announced a 54% increase in pre-tax profits for 2007. Revenue for the global business rose by 26% to £862.4m increasing profits from £77.5m in 2006 to £119.4m. Commenting on the results Mark Dixon, Chief Executive, said “While we are mindful of the economic climate we continue to be encouraged by our leading indicators which show no sign of a slowdown at this stage”. The UK business, with 123 serviced offices, increased by 23.6% year on year.

MWB Make The Final

MWB Business Exchange made the final in the Fast Growth Business Awards 2008. The awards, sponsored by T-Mobile, were held at the London Marriott, Grosvenor Square. Nominated in the ‘Service Business of the Year’ award, MWB made the final but were beaten to the top spot by Ten Lifestyle Management.
