Bruntwood Aims For Expansion

Bruntwood, the office space provider, are aiming for an increase in the number of serviced office workstations that they provide. They currently have 1500 workstations in the north of England and by 2009 they plan to increase that number to 2200. The new offices will build on their knowledge of the northern business market. Bruntwood currently have business centres in Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester.

Bizspace Double Up In Northampton

Bizspace have opened two new serviced offices in Northampton. The two new centres are both located in Dallington and have impressive access to the M1, M6, M40 and A1M motorways making them ideal for clients who need to travel from their office to visit customers or suppliers. Ranging from 51,00 sq ft for the smaller to 141,000 sq ft for the larger, both centres offer offices from as little as 100 sq ft and increase up to 1,500 or 23,000 sq ft respectively.

Sweet New Offices Coming To York

York city council have approved plans to develop an old chocolate factory into office space. The former Terry’s building is going to get a major overhaul of it’s 6500 sq ft of space with developers S Harrison occupying one section of the building and serviced offices making up the rest of the premises.

Voting Rights In Your Space Double

The property executive Jack Petchey has increased his voting rights in the serviced office provider Your Space. His stake has now increased from 3% to 7.8% via his investment company Trefick and was completed in October 2007.

Avanta In Management Buyout

Avanta the serviced office provider has been the subject of a management buyout from Kenmore Private Equity. Avanta was founded in 2004 by David Alberto and private equity company Hamilton Bradshaw and has grown from strength to strength in that time. Commenting on the move chief executive David Alberto said “This investment into the business will help us take us to the next level and become a major player in the serviced office solutions market”. Avanta are based in one of their serviced offices in Hammersmith Grove.

UBC Plan To Open In Worcester

United Business Centres, UBC, have announced that they plan to open a new business centre in Worcester. The new serviced offices are due to open in May 2008, adding another venue to their fast growing portfolio of centres.

Football Star To Open New Centre In Boston

American football star Randall Gay is due to open a new Regus centre in Boston on Wednesday 27thFebruary. The new centre will be located on the fifth floor of 75 Arlington Street in Boston’s Back Bay area and is the third to be opened by Regus in the Boston metro area in the last four months. It will comprise of 161 workstations arranged between 101 offices and will also incorporate a boardroom and video conferencing suite.

Award Winning Office Space Topping Out Today

Manchester’s largest office building is set to ‘Top Out’ today in a ceremony to mark the tightening of the final bolt in the 350,000 sq ft development. 3 Hardman Street is comprised of three ‘stepped’ buildings rising from eleven to fourteen storeys high in the Spinningfields commercial district and is due to open in October 2008. Regus have leased 17,500 sq ft of space for a serviced office in the landmark building.

Regus Look Out To Sea In Baltimore

Regus have announced that they are to open a new business centre in Baltimore. The 12,000 sq ft of space will comprise 53 offices which will have views over Baltimore’s Harbour, as well as 90 workstations there will also be a boardroom and a video conferencing suite. This is the first centre for Regus in Baltimore, which is the largest city in the state of Maryland, and is ideally located in the centre of the business district. Michael Berretta, Vice President of Business Development for Regus, commented “Our clients have long been requesting that we expand into Baltimore and we couldn’t have selected a more ideal location for our first centre in the city”.

Reading Has A Good Year

The serviced office market in Reading saw an increase in business that meant that in 2007 it had it’s best year since 2001. More than 127,000 sq ft of office space was leased last year in the city and is set to increase this year, Bill Gornall-King, president of Reading Chamber of Commerce, said “I think this is another sign of growing confidence in the area”.
