Regus have announced that they are set to open a new business centre in Houston. The new centre will be their seventh in the city and will be located in the CITYCENTRE development in West Houston. Featuring 194 workstations spread over 109 offices, the new serviced offices will also benefit from a business cafe with wi-fi, manned reception, business lounge, meeting rooms and a videoconferencing suite. United Business Centres (UBC) are set to open a second serviced office in Milton Keynes. Following a deal completed with Greg Heywood the new centre will be based at Media House, Crownhill light industry and office estate on Presley Way with UBC occupying the entire building. Regus have announced that they are going to open a new serviced office in New York. The new 40,000 sq ft office space will be located in the Paramount Building and will occupy the entire 12th floor. This new business centre will take the total number of offices that Regus run to nineteen when the fit out is completed later this year.
Regus have taken 12,000 sq ft of office space in Pittsburgh, their third centre in the city. The new business centre in the Penn Center East complex offers clients the choice of 33 offices, 3 conference rooms and a wi-fi enabled business lounge. Michael Berretta, Vice President of Business Development for Regus, said of the move “The acquisition provides us with immediate presence in a great location and now allows us to offer businesses and individuals in the Monroeville area a variety of high-quality, move-in ready offices ranging anywhere from 100 to 1,000 sq ft.”
United Business Centres (UBC) have announced a deal with Real Estate Investors (REI) to open a new serviced office in Bromsgrove. UBC and the West Bromwich-based property investment company are to set up the new business centre at Bruntsford Gate Business Park in Bromsgrove. The office space will be located in Avon House and will occupy 7,223sq ft on the second floor of the building with refurbishment already underway and UBC Bromsgrove is expected to be open for business within a few weeks.

Avanta have signed the leases on two new serviced offices in India, one in Delhi and one in Mumbai. The new offices in Delhi are within one the city’s most iconic buildings, Statesman House, which is located within the business district Connaught Place. The new Mumbai business centre can be found next to the stock exchange in Fort. Regus have opened a new serviced office in Buda. The Obuda Gate Center is their first in the city, their forth in Budapest, and will provide 1,800 sq m of office space. Comprising of 171 serviced offices, five conference rooms, a self-service restaurant and a large gym, this centre offers great views of Margaret Island, the bridges connecting Buda and Pest and Buda castle.
United Business Centres (UBC) are to open seven new serviced offices at sites across the UK following the recently announced joint venture between themselves and Cheshire-based Gladman Developments. The firms have already announced plans for new business centres in Liverpool and Stafford and today announce plans to open additional centres in Newark, Tewkesbury, Oldham, Northumberland and Wakefield.

Regus have taken a second floor in 5 Penn Plaza in New York bringing their total in the city to 17. The new 28,000 sq ft office space has 92 offices, a board room, two conference rooms and a videoconferencing suite. Speaking on the move Donna Scott, Regional Vice President for Regus said “Our 5 Penn Plaza expansion is in direct response to the increased demand we continue to experience in New York City. It allows us to capitalise on what continues to be a very strong market.” She continued “We’re finding that in today’s economic environment businesses, regardless of size, are increasingly moving away from committing to long-term leases and instead seeking more flexible, cost-effective alternatives.”
Evans Easyspace today officially opened their new serviced office in Edinburgh. The centre is already almost 90% let proving that there is a great demand for business centres in the area, performing the opening ceremony Lord Provost George Grubb said “I performed the ceremony to mark the start of the construction of this centre less than a year ago, so I am delighted to come back to see such a vibrant and flourishing business centre.” Managing Director for Evans Tom Stokes said “This centre demonstrates the thriving business community here in Newbridge, despite the widespread speculation about the effect the global financial climate is having on UK businesses”.
